The setting outside is quite and cute, Inside is simple and fresh. We started with a Peach Basil margaritas, then lunch. Very well prepared and simply delicious!! I actually cleaned my plate with bread! We’ll be back! Dine with confidence! The service was stellar as you would expect!!

Lunch at Basil Carmel was a mixed experience. I began with six oysters from Moss Landing. They were excellent and the watermelon mignonette really enhanced those sweet, little bites of briny deliciousness. The sole was served with a parsnip puree, carmelized apples, and raisins. The flavors really worked together. My wife ordered the burger and asked for it to be cooked medium/well. It came medium/rare with undercooked skinny fries. She was too polite to send it back, said it tasted good, but I won't eat rare hamburger...it ... read more
