The chef’s tasting menu was fantastic from start to finish! I could’ve eaten the chicken skin deviled egg like chips and salsa. Completely exceeded my expectations!
RecommendedWe are New Yorkers and heard about Barley Swine from our Uber driver. The Austin food scene is pretty fantastic, but this restaurant blew all the others away! The creative, delicious food, as well as the beer/cocktail pairing we requested, (since we’re not wine drinkers), were all amazing. This restaurant made us wish that we were locals. For sure, when we return to this city, we will absolutely visit! What a meal! And what great service!

Amazing experience.
We had our proposal dinner here. I really cant describe not only how wonderful the food was... but the crew.... every single person not only did a stellar job but treated us like we were family. That's really just not even good enough of an explanation to describe this dining experience. I'm just blown away by every detail that is Barley Swine.

New favorite restaurant in Austin! Wish I'd taken more photos of the food now that the meal is done, but savored everything so much that we never even thought of taking pictures until our (2nd) dessert. Absolute favorites: pickled fried zucchini, radish pancake with pork belly and brussel sprouts, chicken confit, shiitake dumplings, and the honey tart with pollen and strawberries! Everything was unbelievably fresh! You will NOT be disappointed with this place. And the bourbon... we'll be back very soon!
For the price it was hit or miss. Half of the dishes were amazing whereas the others were not pleasant tasting. I don’t believe that some of the dishes were executed properly.
Wow! We went upon a recommendation of a friend and it was amazing. We had the chef’s tasting paired with wine. We will absolutely go back and be bringing friends.
