Barley Swine is a place to enjoy with your family and friends. With the freshest of ingredients used in the cuisine the delicacies here are really a treat and they are presented up in style. The menu is seasonal and the chefs experiment a lot with it. Beers and wine is served here which perfectly compliments the food. The decor is quite modern with stone textured walls and wooden tables which are arranged neatly. A truly unique experience.

Food tourism is kind of my thing when traveling, I hit a lot of James Beard nominated restaurants, but this is literally my favorite restaurant in the country. Brilliantly balanced, creative dishes. An absolute must try in #Austin, the Chef's Tasting Menu especially. Not cheap but worth every penny.
I loved everything I tasted, wonderful craft cocktails, appetizers, entree' and desert!
Did the Chef's Tasting menu for my boyfriend's 35th birthday and was an amazing experience. Great food, staff and service we will be back.
The only place so far that's giving our favorite restaurant a run for the money (Uchiko). So good and the kitchen was poetry in motion. So spot on and working like a well oiled machine. Fun times and great food.
I thought eating ambrosia, the food of the gods, would kill me. This place proved this to be a myth! I am still (24 hours later) in a state of euphoria from my meal. Bartender (Robert?) provided insane service and whipped out some amazing drinks i only wished didnt have alcohol so i could have drank them all day long. My only regret is not eating everything on the menu (yet). Perfect vibe, food, booze, and perfect rating due. Thank you, i am a new man.
First off, let me start by saying, I think I'm just not cool enough for this place. My husband and I went here last Saturday night as a last minute backup plan. The original restaurant we picked was in "game day mode" when we arrived. With two small children we don't get the luxury of going out very often. We had done a lot of research in picking our restaurant for the evening and Barley Swine was 2nd on our radar. Since the 1st place didn't work out we figured we'd try this. We had already decided on a course meal at the 1s... read more
This was an excellent Dining Experience . Fully enjoyed. Would not pass up another chance to enjoy a fine dinner again.
An experience for your eyes and palate! Loved the rustic and natural decor! Ambiance was very comfortable. The chef's menu is an absolute must! Every course was beautifully created to blend amazing textures and flavors! If you are a food enthusiast, you will truly love Barley Swine!
Very good! Awesome in fact! Actually five star, the only reason I only gave four is because I expect to die immediately after five !!! And I always expect this restaurant to keep striving to be better!!! One of the best restaurants I've been to, ever!!!!! I will definitely be coming back again and again and again!!! Great job by the staff, both the cooks and servers. Best part about this restaurant is that the menu is always changing!!!
