RecommendedMy son had gotten hit with a bat tonight by accident (he’s 6) anyways he had to have 4 stitches on his jaw and bottom lip. The staff we had tonight at St. Vincent Blount was absolutely amazing! They allowed me back there with my son and husband when I arrived, the X-ray tech came down to check on him, the nurse we had was very attentive to my sons needs ( I hope we have him as a nurse every time), the doctor that started on Brantley’s case before shift change made sure to stay over just to make sure things went good, the doc... read more

I called 119 yesterday about getting labs, bloodwork. My primary care, also St Vincent has someone that missed the vein twice...I never have that problem!!! The whole reason I called was to ask if I needed an appointment for that. They clearly on a recorded line said that wasn't needed. I wasted my time off!!!! Not only that but woman points at a sign about appointments. I guess she expects me to be able to see through a freaking telephone. We call the main hospital and they said they should have taken me... and to come on d... read more

Had my ups and downs since being born here in 1980. Mostly ups. Today I had to get a finger stitched up. Very impressed with everything. Was in and out within an hour. Well done St. Vincent’s!
My grandmother who is sitting at 5 South in Birmingham Alabama is being treated horribly. yes, we aren't allowed to see her due to covid - I understand this. we have not received any information about her care, as my grandfather (and power of attorney) has only been contacted ONCE IN A SPAN OF TWO WEEKS. I had been on the phone with my grandmother while the nurses have walked in, giggling at her confusion (she has a brain mass). this is negligence. I would like to thank Dr Parks and the staff in the Cath lab for giving me a second chance at life after my heart stopped on Friday April 3rd with a special thanks to Rocky who's expert skills in CPR brought me back.
