The only person I can remember is Erin as my nurse in same day surgery. I've never had surgery before and was completely terrified. I cant even explain how awesome my experience was. I can't thank everyone enough. From the volunteer who hugged me, and my nurse, and the anesthesia crew. (wow amazing) and the surgical tech who I never got to say "happy surgical tech week to" and to dr stitt for praying with us. and to my recovery nurse... I didn't even see her face but she was an angel. thank you to everyone who made me feel s... read more

My husband went in for a routine cardiac cath due to previously having some chest discomfort in the past week. He had 3 stents placed when living in Florida 11 years ago. While in the heart cath, he had a heart attack and was rush into surgery for a triple bypass. From the minute we walked into SDS until we left, everyone down to housekeeping treated us like royalty. Those nurses are truly angels. We never wanted for anything and anytime we needed someone, they were there. I highly recommend Baptist Health and will never use... read more

i have no experience but can say unequivocally that denying patients access to midwifery care for biryh services is a travesty and women need to pack their hospital bags and go to the many hospitals that do!

Labor and delivery team did an excellent job. I do not agree with the recent changes to the midwife program. We were not pleased when we received the information just days before the due date. With that aside, I want to thank the doctors and all the nurses who gave us extraordinary service and care during our stay. Thank you for what you do.

I have been informed that they are refusing hospital rights to all the midwives and are the only location in the area to give birth. Midwives provide the best and safest birth experience since they treat birth as a normal function of a women’s body and not as an illness. Besides if s woman wants a midwife she should be able to have one.

I have always heard bad things about BHM, but then people would speak highly about the Women's Center. Now seeing so many pregnant women I care about hurt by the recent news of what is going on with the Midwives, I dont guess there is anything to reccomend about this hospital! Taking away a womans choice in the matter of bringing her baby into the world, is probably the biggest mistake any establishment could make. Working in a hospital setting in the past, I was always told that the patient care and satisfaction was top pri... read more

My midwife delivery experience with Baptist Health in 2014 made me a strong advocate for their hospital. I referred a few friends there who also had a great experience. I'm quite upset to learn that midwives have now been restricted to office-only visits. I know, in some cases, it isn't always possible for your provider to be there for the delivery but it is in most cases and it should be the patient's choice. Divorcing in-office care from delivery makes no sense! Parents, especially first-timers, need the one they trust in ... read more

Shame on you for revoking midwives privileges! I will no longer be recommending your hospital and women’s services till this is re instated! Are you just trying to make more money? Midwives care for the patient and the baby not their pocketbook! And are way more educated in yo to date birth birthing practices. Bring back midwives!!!

I decided to use Baptist Health just because of the midwife staff. I could of gone to a lot better hospitals but I value the care that the midwife gives. I used a midwife at baptist 8years ago with my first and planned to with my forth since I’ve moved back to the area. Everyone there is new and knows nothing about what’s going. Baptist needs the midwifes. What was the best thing they had going for them b
