so I've been a customer for almost 14 years and in that time yes i"ve had issues before and most of the time they have been resolved but when it keeps happening over and over I'm just done with it. Received a letter stating I would be charged monthly for my checking accounts. Moved my money else where and closed my accounts.
Been with the bank since 2004, great service, however this recent fraud and it taking the bank 5 days or more to refund is too long and they need better security measures to protect customer accounts.
I have been a customer for something like 13 years and have loved Bank Midwest and their consistent customer service when something happens. They always have done what they can to make the customer happy. Today I noticed a $5 service fee and found out that because I am too poor to carry an $800 daily balance that I now have to pay a fee to use Bank Midwest's checking. I went to Midwest Bank Lemay Ferry branch 10-10-17 to cash checks and teller accused me of forging a name on a $25.00 check that was made out to myself and a business partner and stated it was illegal to cash any checks unless all parties are on the same account.. Then she stated she was going to put an alert on all my accounts. Two other tellers were watching and staring at me while 6 or 7 customers were in line listening to this nonsense. Wow. My husband and I had an account with Bank Midwest for several years. I say "had" because we just switched to another bank to get free checking after Bank Midwest informed us there would be a monthly fee for our account. While we're disappointed with the bank's decision to do away with free checking, we were very happy with our experience with the Chillicothe branch. The people there are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Terrific service! Sad to leave.
