Eric was very Helpful and very Resourceful! I really want to take the time out to shout out to "Eric" in the Meter Reading Department, you saved me a bunch of money! Guys be very cautious in using these 3rd party Electric companies preaching "Clean Energy"! They are definitely a rip off, when calling BGE today i really thought something was wrong with my meter! 5/20/22 @ 10:24 AM BGE sends a text stating a power outage will occur at 10:45 AM. They gave 21 minutes notice for what said would be a 2 hour outage. I work from home and the power did in fact go out. i hadn't read the initial text. I call customer service to complain. They wanted to pass me on to someone else to complain again. Then a second text comes in stating power is out and should be restored by 2 PM. So that's over 3 hours of my work day. Government Furnished Equipment does not have laptop batteries. On January 9, 2022 my electric power fluctuates in my home and only one fourth of my outlets are working properly. Between January 10 and January 14 three BGE technicians do a supposed diagnostic of power coming into my house. The end result is that a BGE technicias issues me a "required repair ticket" which mandates that I replace my service entrance cable and braker box. If I could leave this at 0 stars, I seriously would. Now, I'm supposed to be moving into my apartment today. But thanks to BGE and their sorry excuse of communications and business. BGE cut my power off without notification. The power was shut off at 5:30pm and I was in the middle of cooking dinner for my family. I did receive a call from them at 5:49 pm that the power would be shut off. I never got notified by the workers, text message, or any other communication channel that the power would be shut off. Now everything I cooked is ruined because it's not suppose to be turned back on till 7:45 pm. i have a security system and a ring doorbell so I would of been notified if a person came to the door or ra... read more

BGE had an underground fire over days ago leaving us without power for 36 hours. When power was restored, me and all of my neighbors begin experiencing a partial outage which includes the stove, heat and several appliances and two breakers to not working at all. BGE had me submit over 6 different repair requests and not once has a tech come out like I was told would happen. I'm only giving one star because I had to but honestly BGE deserves no stars at all. During the pandemic I have been trying to maintain my energy payments as best I could. I applied for a payment arrangement around the end of August for which I was approved and received a letter stating my payment plan. I went to check and see what my NEW monthly payment would be only to find that they cancelled my payment arrangement not for what reasons I have no idea. BGE did this without any notification at all. Bullshit company that overcharges you and has terrible turnaround time. Only have it because it's the only one my complex allows. Do not get budget billing if you don't use much electricity/gas because you'll be paying anywhere from $50 to $60 over your bill at the end of every month. It's ok if you have a family and use a good amount of electricity or gas. Absolutely terrible. Do not get if you can help it.

Power went out around 5:30pm, due to a thunderstorm on Fri. Aug.15th, called to report it. They said it was already reported, and they would restore power by 8pm that night. The time was changed to 11pm, then to the next day, Saturday at 7pm, then changed to 9:30pm. Here it is, 7:11am SUNDAY morning, STILL NO POWER!! I guess Pikesville is NOT on their priority list.
