What’s the point of having a reception if no one ever answers the phone? Every time we’re told ‘call us if you need us. We’ll… I do need you, and guess what? The phone just rings and rings. How the hell am I supposed to get urgent help for my wife when you refuse to pick up? It’s beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. You’re dealing with vulnerable people and their families. Either sort your phone lines or stop pretending you’re available to help!
Some good some bad
I was able to meet the doctor once in 4 years after constant requests to meet. Doctor was nice but you have a higher chance of becoming the next messiah and healing yourself than you do seeing a doctor.
I'm struggling with CPTSD and I was diagnosed with autism not long ago. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid - they didn't recognise it. I was told I'm bipolar - that's a big problem for me because I'm struggling to keep it together when I'm under stress - not recognised. My GP made a referral to them and they sent me a letter that they refusing to see me. I saw one of their doctors some time ago - he said he is going to work as an accountant because the job is dragging him down. Not blaming him.
They conduct themselves with full impunity because parliament is full of imbeciles across the house . There for their idea of a diagnosis could be done in twenty minutes without any real research into a patient’s background or focus on the individual. If you are Irish or ethnic in any way they will stick the boot in deeper . If you don’t know how the system should actually work or anything about the profession of psychiatry, , once that’s been established they’ll short change you to a further disadvantage.
