Amerigas is the #1 propane company to avoid. Unlike previous years we were never given a chance to pre-book/lock-in pricing for this winter's propane. They showed up at 7pm on a Saturday night with LP priced at $2.64/gallon at double the local competitor ($1.30/gallon). When I called Amerigas' billing dept they told me that I could still lock in for the winter at $1.90/gallon but I would have to pay the lock-in agreement which would cost $99.00. And if I didn't use their service up and to May31st, 2021 I would be penalized $... read more

Our Faust Fuels was bought out by Amerigas. Please do not use this company. We decided to have a generator put in around July 2020. It was scheduled for installation in September 2020. Amerigas missed multiple appointments. They just never showed up. We have spent countless hours on the phone. They finally installed the 320 tank in October and hooked it up to the generator. We have had them and the generator people out five times. Regulators were changed. Adjustments made. Our generator still does not work. We are still tryi... read more

The local, small, efficient provider was bought out by this national distributor. You find yourself hand and foot tied to the worst ever service. The tank refill order was made Dec. 4th. I gave my phone number and the code to access the property in case nobody was on site. When I called back 10 days later, I was told that the truck came but that the fence was closed. The first customer advocate omitted the note to the driver. Since then, we have been calling almost every day, morning, and afternoon. When you are lucky that t... read more

We have a commercial A/C and ordered propane on Dec. 8th on their website. The delivery was scheduled between Dec. 9th and Dec. 18th. The delivery has been pushed out several times and now shows a schedule of 12/24 or 12/25. It is now 12/28. We are running out propane and our tenants are not going to have heat or hot water. Through repeated calls and being on hold for extended periods then being dropped, we have not been able to find out the real date of our delivery. We understand these are difficult times but there is no r... read more

I should have read the reviews. Don't get suckered with these guys. I ran out of propane after they scheduled me multiple times. Now I'm stuck with paying fees to do security checks because I run the risk of having leaks because I didn't get a delivery. Spent hours getting lied to.

They have let us run out of gas twice this year 2020. I am on automatic refill. Last fill March. Been calling for over a week to get filled and here it is Dec 26 and we have no propane, no heat! They let us run out last January too. We also have over $1,000.00 credit so it is not for lack of payment. Also, trying to get through to a person you wait on hold for over a hour each time. I called every day Mon-Thurs. Christmas day closed. Terrible service all the way around.

We reached out to Amerigas 4 weeks ago to refill our tank. We were told we'd get guaranteed delivery by 12/14. It is now 12/23 and we are completely out of gas. We have no heat or hot water. We have called the corporate office consistently for 5 days straight. Each day we are told we are on the delivery route the next day and then no one shows up and we are back on the phone pleading for service. My family (with young kids) has endured a cold home and no hot water for days and we will likely have to endure through Christmas.... read more

IF I COULD GIVE THEM A 0 STAR I WOULD!!!!! ordered my propane online on 12/14/20 and was given an ETA of 12/25-12/24. I called in on 12/15 and after about an hour wait, I was told that my tank being at 25% will be fine and that my delivery will be out before 12/24/20. On 12/23, I spoke with Chantel to let her know we were now at 2% and she said they would charge me a $300 fee to ensure it was delivered on 12/24. After a discussion, she agree that we would get our delivery on 12/24 and that no fee would be added. At 1:45 I ca... read more

Because we live in Vermont on a hill we must have our driveway sanded before each propane delivery. The sanding is solely for the purpose of the fuel truck coming up our driveway. We have no difficulty navigating the driveway unsanded. Despite requesting 24 hr notice of delivery so we can arrange for sanding, we consistently call a call during the evening prior to the next mornings delivery. We still arrange for sanding, at a cost of $100.00 each time. Invariably the fuel truck arrives early before the sand truck can arrive.... read more
