DO NOT SIGN WITH AMERIGAS FOR PROPANE!!! They don't deserve one star. After the flood of 2018 my privately owned tank disappeared. I was forced to lease a tank from these liars! I called on Monday 2/1/2021 to let them know I was at 0%!!! I had checked the tank the prior week, about 7 days, and was at 49%. I know how often I have to order propane, I have been in the same house for 23 years. I thought ok, they say order when at 35%. I waited till Saturday 1/30 and checked the gauge and was at 10%. I can't imagine that anyone would sign up to do business with AmeriGas. We purchased a home that had an AmeriGas tank. Luckily, we had heard the horror stories and went with another provider from the get-go. I sent certified letters to both the local AmeriGas office and the corporate office in PA asking them to pick up their abandoned tank. They don't care. After 90 days, it's still sitting out there as a safety hazard and eyesore. And I see on social media there are lots of other people waiting for their tanks to be picked ... read more

The absolute worst! I'd select zero stars if I could. Recently, we appeared to have NO propane and called. Our tank has one of those monitors that provides the company with info about how full the tank is and was told that our tank was about 70% full (online account said 72%), so it must be something else, perhaps the regulator, and that they would send someone to see what was going on. 4th day with no propane. It's below freezing out and can't seem to get a delivery from Amerigas despite daily calls to customer service. I would avoid doing business with this company.

We just purchased a house and the tank that the previous owners had rented from Amerigas for years was completely rusted and a horrible eye sore. I had called Amerigas to see if they could swap out the tank since it was in such bad shape. She said yes, we discussed the annual rental and the cost of propane. Tank gets swapped out and we get a bill for $298, the fees to change the tank. I am upset that it was never disclosed that it was going to cost us that much just to swap it out. This company scheduled to have a tank delivered on February 6th. Never received confirmation nor did we ever get in touch with someone. Every time I called I would be on hold for an hour only to be transferred to someone else because they didn’t have an answer. TWO hours later they stated delivery would be pushed out a month. This is a new build for a family of four. No hot water nor gas for our cooktop. Poor customer service, poor communication, and absolutely no professionalism. I would give this company ZERO stars. This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with! Delivery window was missed (no appointment time was given, only an 2 WEEK window). From there daily calls to customer service with lengthy waits and untrue runaround information, with promises of delivery that never came. This was an order that had been prepaid for 3 weeks at this point. I've had find to another service to fill my tank since it had become an emergency due to the delay, while Amerigas still has my money as I wait for an alleged refund!!!

This company is HORRIBLE! Literally EVERY month I have to spend hours on the phone trying to schedule a propane delivery to my home well after levels in the tanks fall dangerously low, according to them! There's always some BS excuse. I've even has a driver start to pull in my driveway, and then stop and drive away, claiming to his boss that our driveway wasn't plowed of snow. Which it WAS!
