We at last minute cancelled our trip to Aruba due to hurricane Mathew and scrambled to find a place with good weather for the weekend. We decided to go to Amelia Island Florida. We flew into Jacksonville on our way to Amelia Island but wanted to spend one night on the beach before we went to our resort. After some reviews we chose One Ocean and WE WERE NOT DISAPOINTED. One Ocean is our happy place. We try to come over from Gainesville every couple of months. The staff welcome us like we are family, the views from the oceanfront rooms are fantastic, the food at Azurea is always superb. The spa is wonderful and the location is great. We love the shops and restaurants, especially Mezza. We miss Hugh and hope he comes back soon, because the lobby is just not the same without him.
