I recently had a terrible experience with Avis Rental. The staff was extremely rude and made false accusations against me, claiming I smoked in the car despite my assurance that I didn't. I tried contacting them multiple times on 6th September, but unfortunately, no one responded. When I mentioned that I didn't receive any calls on Saturday, the staff collectively became defensive and claimed that they had called me multiple times, which was untrue. Terrible The desk staff too busy trying to upsell at counter on arrival then did not delivered car required Total waste of 1 /1/2hour at desk Left stranded and rented a car from alternative vendor Staff thrn made me feel it’s my fault Totally ridiculous company

Dreadful service. Charged me £200 to upgrade to a car booked as a BA package which was cheaper to book direct on the website. Then included taxes, location surcharge and service fees on top. As a preferred customer who regularly hires from Avis/Budget I’m extremely angry. I’ll be reconsidering my regular car hire options now.

Booked through easyJet and we were told at the AVIS Glasgow airport desk that we could not get the car because we did not pass a test, they then refused to give specific reasons invoking GDPR saying that we could not give any reason. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. He offered no solution or help. I went to book a car at a counter next door for even cheaper than the original deal. The customer service representative was a ginger man in his thirties who should be fired. Currently taking this up with head office
