My experience was absolutely shocking and echoes other reviews left here by people who have gone through hell with this company. Avis rented an unsafe car with multuiple warnings indicators of brake failure and engine faults. The company leaves its customers to fend for themselves after twelve on a Saturday - they are part timers and not a single customer servcies person will be available, anywhere. I returned a rental car to this location in June and was charged for damage after-the-fact with no further explanation. I called multiple times, emailed many times, and was not able to get any information from the company. As a result, I was not able to file a claim with my credit card company because they require documentation of the damage within 60 days to provide coverage. This feels very much like a scam.

Staff were very helpful at Exeter airport and explained everything clearly and with patience as this was my first car rental experience. My child had left a phone in the car and unfortunately due to it being a bank holiday the office was not open so the very helpful member of staff helped to organise it to be returned. Thank you Zoe at Exeter airport.

The previous review stated - returned the car and left keys in the box as I have done before but sadly this time they are trying to charge for a damaged car, No pictures of the so called damaged have been sent to me, no supporting evidence of damage. I have had exactly the same experience and there seems to be a pattern here. No-one in AVIS is available to discuss this in detail or further or provide any evidence.
