Advise not to use. We've just tried to return our car within office hours to find out it was shut. Unclear parking instructions so have had to pay 3 days of parking as it's also shut on weekends. Have no way of getting through to them on phone and expect to get a refund on the parking.

So basically don’t rent a car from here , go to enterprise in Sealand instead. Basically there are no clear drop off instructions for when the office is closed such as on a Sunday, I arrived prior to my drop off 10am Sunday morning to find the return car park bolted shut. There was no verbal notification of this when I first hired the car , I’ve seen other reviews on trip advisor complaining about the same . Just awful.....when I got to the office I was told that I couldn't hire a car as I have an SM90 on my licence, they were good enough to take an initial £644 off me beforehand! Seems weird that I can hire the same car from Enterprise for £342 for the same amount of time with no problems at all even with the MS90 on my licence! Thanks Avis for spoiling my parents holiday by cutting it short by two days! Only chose Avis as the office was near to the train station in Chester, but not really impressed with the office or car selection, which was a DS3 and found it hard to understand touchscreen controls, hand brake etc. Boot would only open when engine was off, which wasn’t explained and no manual in car. Child Car seat was not acceptable for such a large and respected company as Avis.
