i would not reccomend taking a vehicle to this shop that is a complicated job. He will likely make repairs that do not address the chief complaint leaving customers with repair bills and still no fix,which was my experience. wasted 400 dollars and seeking another mechanic. poor communication skills, seems to be an artist more so than a mechanic. Rick, please recognize your skill set limitations and stay with in your capabilities.
The clutch in my Nissan truck made it to 171k miles before I took it in to Rick and the crew. It was very timely turn around and great service. There was a small noise after installation and they promptly pulled the trans to change a bushing. I found cheaper/ shady tree types but I took it to Rick because I knew it would be right. Cannot recommend them enough.
Timing belt change on my 2011 Honda Pilot. Job was done quickly and for a fair price. Rick can always be trusted to do an excellent job.
Drove my one owner 76 Vette over 100 miles for a clutch replacement, bushing rehab and other assorted maladies because I trust Rick and his team implicitly.....Outstanding job at a fair price.....antique or modern, foreign or domestic.....Automotive Artifex is the place to bring your ride!
I got the best service there. He has a lot of experience with European makes especially Volkswagen. He knows where every nut and bolt is on that car. This is a new business but he stays very busy because people know him and the referrals he gets too.
A few years back,Rick did some a complete custom wiring job on a custom car build for me. The job took longer than he quoted. At the completion of the job, he took it upon himself to adjust the price that had been quoted. The job was excellent.
Very trustworthy and knowledgeable. We are taking all of our vehicles to them. Reasonably priced and fair
Rick is a great mechanic and a solid guy all around. I don't think there is much that he can't do. If your looking for an honest mechanic then you've found one. Act quickly there aren't many honest ones left.
Rick is a man of many talents, but also a genuinely nice guy!
