I've tried 3 different Austin units, very disappointed that all three filters smelled brand new from the package when installed and turned on. NOT for the chemically sensitive. Haven't received help when I reached out about concern, except that the "filters have probably filled up." Except they all smell this way brand new when first turned on. Never smelled like clean air.
I live with 31 parrots...and nine Austin Allergy Machines! I love not having to break them down to clean and replace filters and prefilters all the time.

Is the air that is emitted from the air peurifier supposed to be warm? It warms up a small room when it is running. Other air purifiers we have (Coway Airmega) emit cold air so we were curious if our new Austin Air purifier is working correctly.
Reliable... continuous running for 16 years ...new filter ordered.

The filter lasts about 3 years in a smoky environment. That's pretty good for what it does.
