These guys will take care of you... and your budget. – I did some serious price comparisons for my builder to stay within budget for our new house. These guys beat everyone's prices. Aus-Tex is one of the few places in this town you can go anymore and feel like your being takin care of by some 'good ol boys'. While everything I bought was covered by the factory warranty, the owner gave me his card with his personal number to call if anything ever goes wrong. That's service. Thanks Guys!!!!
Aus-Tex had the best deal in town for sure. – I've been shopping around for a counter-depth refrigerator for about 2 months. My only criteria were that it had to be new and carry the factory warranty. I was willing to save money with a scratch and dent unit if it did not have any blemishes on the front. Great prices with lousy service – They had the best prices by far for what I was looking for, a new gas cooktop and double oven. I never felt high pressure, but then knew exactly what I wanted when I walked in. The downside was delivery and installation. Total nighmare. They said "Thursday at 4pm". By 530, still nothing. I called and was told "Well, they could be an hour early or two hours late, we dont really ever know..They should never tell you anything but AM or PM, .but I'll check and call you back." 45 min later, still... read more
worst costumer serivce, misleading website. – I bought a used washer and dryer, and a new "scratched" fridge, I spent over $1000 dollars on evrything, 3 months after the washer stoped working, and I decided to call them and expected to get free repair since I had spent more than $1000.00 in products, and if you look at their website, you get one year warranty if you spend more than that. Great Prices – This experience is what you make of it for sure. Prices are the cheapest anywhere around Austin hands down, so if you are looking for high end appliances for low prices, this is your place. Some of the other reviews mentioned "dirty warehouse" and "pushy sales people" which is not far from the truth, however I dealt with the owner and he was pleasant. Anything you need – I visited the new location in North Austin and found more than the appliances I came in for. Since I moved into a bigger place, I needed a lot of things to fill my new home. They have furniture and electronics available and a cataloge of items that aren't in the store. My purchases were delivered and installed for me too. Austex is a great one stop shop!
Poor customer service and repair – I recently purchased a front loading washer from Aus-Tex. They did have the good price but unfortunately that is where it ended. Five days after installation the machine developed electronic problems. There were error codes coming up on the display. After contacting Aus-Tex they told me that the problem was now mine. Great customer service, and very helpful – I needed a new fridge, and didn't have alot of money to spend. I checked three other places before going to Aus-Tex, and couldn't afford a fridge at any of them. Aus-Tex has great bargains, and a very wide selection of appliances at all different price ranges. The people there are really nice thankyou Aus-Tex.
