RecommendedI just recently started seeing a new rheumatologist in Lexington cause my old one moved from the Fishersvilles office. My first visit was wonderful. She started from scratch and made me feel very comfortable and made sure I didn't have any questions.

I went in today with symptoms of the flu. Doctor listened to my lungs and said it was a virus and maybe not the flu. He stated they do not swab for the flu because the CDC doesn’t require it and there’s nothing to do for it?? I went to MedExpress in Staunton and guess what?! I’m positive for Flu B! I called Augusta Urgent Care and told them they may want to swab everyone. 😮
So I went in for a CT scan. At check in, the lady told me how much my share of the cost would be. It was eye-watering! But then, she offered to accept 66% of the charge if I paid it within 3 days. Really?? While I will need to make payments, which I gladly do, and have done for years, it doesn’t sound good to know they will knock off 33% for a cash payment. If there is that much room in the first place, then it just costs too much. I’d gladly pay reasonable interest over a year to be able to make payments. But this is ridicu... read more

would not accept my insurance...claiming it was all anthems fault. Finallly Anthem and Augusta Health got a contract ironed out....But, now it does not matter...I am hooked up with Med express on Richmond rd in Staunton. They know to send me or my wife to UVA or SENTERA AT ROCKINGHAM if we need more intense treatment
