While the actual PT staff at the ************ ** did a wonderful job in helping me recover from my shoulder injury, I have to say the billing **** of the company nationally is completely inappropriate. After getting a bill in early Sept for an April visit for a copay that was legitimately missed by staff at the local office, I clarified in that call my account was up to date thru late July treatment visits. This has been the worst experience ever. I called to schedule an appt for therapy at the Pontiac location and was told that my insurance had been checked and I was ok'd to begin therapy. After the initial visit I went back for the next one and the receptionist advised me that my insurance wasn't active and that I would have to pay for the visits. Wife utilized their services to rehab a broken ankle. She went to rehab for an hour each time and the bills ranged from $267 to $423 for that hour. She was always assisted by an Asst ********************** Therapist (not the physical therapist). They structure their billing in rehab units based on exercises/equipment utilized (15 minute minimum unit). If you do more exercises in your hour, your **** is higher. I would not recommend them to anyone in upstate **************.

I have been trying to resolve a billing issue for six months and many phone calls to no avail. *** customer service never gets an answer for you although they keep telling you they will look into it.
Every one at ATI has been fantastic with my physical therapy for a frozen shoulder. *************************** *************** **
The location itself is good & staff is nice...but corporate needs a serious improvement when it comes to communicating with their patients. TRIPLE CHECK YOUR INSURANCE BEFORE SCHEDULING AND DON'T TRUST WHAT CORPORATE SAYS ABOUT IT!! I received a **** for $89 for one session when I was under the impression I would not owe anything, so I looked up pending claims through my insurance and I'm going to owe over $650 for 6 sessions. Here is pure data to unfair business practices from ATI--ATI billed my insurance "wife $437.04 on 7/19/21 and they paid $407.04 (minus the $30 co-pay ). ATI billed my husbands private insurance for the same event the same day, under a DIFFERENT name (even though it was for the same ONE-hour service) $437.04 then HIS insurance paid ATI $158.71.... this is double-dipping my insurance, his insurance and we have them both listed for billing!ATI profit 158.71!!!On 7/28/21 his insurance paid $103.90 for a $342.64 claim, while mine... read more

ATI charged me a $10 deductible fee for my 15 visits in Jul-Sep 2021. My insurance paid 100% of the billing and indicated that no deductible was to be charged. Im requesting credit to my HSA card for $150.
