ATI said I would only have a copayment of $15 a visit. After they sent me a bill for almost $800. I asked them to explain why, they stated b/c they wouldn't know how my insurance processes payments? I tried to reach out to the *** advocate team who is just ignorant and not willing to help at all.My doctor sent me for therapy for 2 sessions but when I got there I was told I needed 12 sessions for 6 weeks. without giving any information on how each session will be etc. Repeated the same thing I was told on day 1 which day 1 evaluation which was $300. ATI billing is horrendous. They bill some sessions in-network and some out-of-network. Ive gone to them three different times. Each time I ask if they are contracted with BCBS of AZ. I learned yesterday that these clowns utilizes traveling physical therapist who are not contracted with your insurance but FAIL to tell patients this. ATI physical therapy put me on an automatic payment plan for copays, then forgot to charge me for 6 random visits. They sent me redundant bills for visits I had already paid for, and then sent me to a debt collector. I sent proof of payment for those visits and they responded with another list of random visits. Then they wouldnt pick up the phone when i tried to call them multiple times. I was told my insurance was good, had ok therapy, staff was nice but preferred talking to each other, and 6 weeks after therapy I get a bill for over *******. What the heck. Now I have been calling for 2 weeks and no one can seem to get it together. I have good insurance and know they will pay, how difficult can it be. Just charge my insurance for goodness sake. I happened to look in my junk email today to find an email from ****************************. They stated your company turned my bill over to them a a debt collector. You can see I have used your facility in **********, ** for 2 years now and paid regularly as my HSA accumulates. On the phone with an ATI associate, I was told I have several claim numbers with your company and unfortunately, I have been paying more recent claims. Awful to deal with post physical therapy. I was told that all I had to pay was a $20 cover pay and then a year later got a letter charging me over $1000. I called ATI immediately and they told me they would clear it up. A year later I get a letter from a debt collector hunting me down for the $1000. Ive called ATI twice since Ive gotten it and they have been extremely unhelpful and have redirected me to call the debt collector. If I knew I would have to pay over $1000 when my PT ended, I would definitely not have done it. I ... read more

My husband has had a ongoing conflict with ATI's billing that has been going on since Feb. 2020. The ongoing disagreement has been discussed numerous times with ATI saying they were in the process on getting this resolved. My husband was told in Feb. 2020 that his billing was charged "out of network" but should have been charged "in network".
