The only good thing left at this clinic... ... left a long time ago. Brooke was a tender-caring technician with superlative skills. She treated animals and owners with the respect and care that they deserve. It was always a pleasure to bring my pets to the facility while she was there, because she always greeted us with a smile. However, now it just plain sucks!
NOT THE BEST BY FAR I am an ex employee from Aspen Commons and would like to say that unfortunately that all of the horror stories that have been said on this page are true. Most of the technicians that work there where fired from other hospitals for animal neglect and drug problems. No answers I agree that the staff is rude and abrupt.I have called with questions on my pets medications and have had to wait two days for answers.I will take action if my animal should have adverse problems due to this "too bust" state of affairs.Dr James is super and I feel he is too rushed.Ryan and Bea are just plain rude and self important people.Bea is rude and every time I speak to her I get the feeling she enjoys giving you a hard time and not relaying messages correctly,causing more lost time and inconvenience.I agre... read more
Too much staff incompetence but nice vet I have been going to Aspen C for 20 years with two of my beloved pets. Just because you (the reader) don't agree with something someone wrote doesn't mean it isn't true! However Dr. James would NEVER throw a pet across the room or kill an animal. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY A LIE!
Dr. James is fantastic - but expect a long wait We have just started going to Aspen Commons, as Dr. James was referred by a friend. He is definitely worth the wait, but each time my husband and I have taken our puppy, we have had to wait at least 45 minutes before seeing the vet. It is worth it in my opinion, but it's a shame that I have to carve out half a day to go to the vet.

His knowledge is profound; his manner is warm and professional; his treatment of all the animals is completely devoted. All of our friends have been referred to his clinic and have the same high appraisal. Our animals are enthusiastic about visiting Aspen Commons!
I love this place I think Dr. James and his staff are some of the best Vets and vet techs that I've met in Denver. They are always caring and compassionate, and very helpful even over the phone. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
A Caring and Community Minded Practice Dr. James has provided exemplary care, not only for my personal animals, but for many ownerless animals over our 20 year association. The fact is that without his generosity, many dogs would be euthanized for lack of the care that allows them to be rehabilitated and rehomed. All animals at Aspen Commons receive the same level of care, discounted or not.
I will not be going back. I'm sorry Larry S., but I've also had some bad experiences at this clinic. And don't assume someone is a coward just b/c they don't identify - there are many reasons in today's world to protect your identity. I'm glad you and your pets have had good experiences. I agree with the 1st poster, they are way understaffed and overloaded. I've noticed a lot of turn over with Vets as well.
