Take your pets elsewhere This used to be a good animal hospital, but something has happened in the past few years and now everything is utter chaos. I left Aspen Commons almost 2 years ago after their sub-standard care contributed to the death of a dog who saved my life more than once, and since then I've heard horror stories from other clients. F**K THIS CLINIC I am a former employee of Aspen Commons. I have worked there for aover a year and a half. Let me tell all of you to take your animals some where else. I have seen this so called doctor come to work drunk to perform a euthinasia for a client, try to provied 24hr care for critical animalsand not even bother to show up, and hit clients animals when they dont cooperate with him. He treats his staff like S**T and pays his kennel techs under minimum wage. I honestly think his clinic should be shut down.

30+ years of Great Service Dr James was our vet when we lived in Denver from 1979-1991 and took care of all our pets - our Golden Brandy at the time would stay with Dr James whenever we needed to travel and she lived to be 16+ years old. He is an amazing and caring vet and we have referred our friends who live in Denver to him for many years. The Staff at Aspen Commons has always been a great support and after all these years, we still hear marvelous things about the clinic! Great Job~
just going through the drill Recently I had my dog pass, and I had been seeing Dr. James for the past 9 years. I ended up taking my dog to Animal East, because I was basically pushed from one vet. tech to another, when I really needed to talk to Dr. James himself. I never did hear from him, in the week of my dog getting very ill, being seen by him twice in one week and then @ the end of the week, her passing. A long time patron of Dr. James... I have been going to Aspen Commons for over 15 years Yes, you have to wait a bit for your appointment and, yes, they do tend to be understaffed. However, I have a special needs dog and I have received the best care for her by Dr. James. He always explains the procedures, medications, test results, etc and is always open to any questions that I have.
DR. JAMES IS THE BEST While there does seem to be a lot of turn-over in staff at Aspen Commons, I always assumed that there are a lot of interns working there, who move on when their time is up. Bob James is the very best -- the most compassionate veterinarian in my 60-odd years of experience with pets. Great Animal Hospital My cats are my children, so my veterinarian must be right up there with a pediatrician. After becoming frustrated with the clinic that we'd been going to for years, a friend recommended Aspen Commons. In the year that we've been going there, I've been very impressed with the quality of care. The staff is always pleasant and Dr. James is wonderful!!
