RecommendedWell done complex with good floor plans. The dog park is a social scene itself with friendly puppers and conscientious owners. Front office staff is very friendly and responsive to questions or issues with the units. Location is a huge draw! BRP, downtown and plenty of restaurants close by.
Let me preface this by saying we were the first people to move into our apartment so all of the pros and cons were from a fresh slate, nothing is from a previous resident. Let me start with the worst part about living here and that was the move-out process. We paid our bill on time every month and kept the apartment in pristine condition. We lived in a carriage home in the Exchange for 1 year. I recommend the carriage home (townhouse style) for those who don’t want to bother with neighbors above or below you. We had a great experience. I found staff very friendly and responsive when we had a need. That being said, there were a few minor issues with construction. Our double doors leading to the balcony didn’t meet close enough. Apparently maintenance/construction tried to make it work by installing 3 or 4 latch plates on top of each other. I’ve lived here for a little more than 18 months and I can’t wait to move out! The apartment is super nice and the location very convenient and I love the maintenance team! But it’s not even worth it! You can hear absolutely everything your upstairs neighbor or the neighbor next door is doing, even if there is people outside in the corridor. There is nothing luxurious about these apartments. I can hear everything the neighbors upstairs do (flushing toilet, opening drawers, stepping on the floor when getting out of bed, having sex, taking a shower). They advertise recycling. Yet when the recycling receptacle is full, they tell you to put your recyclables in the dumpster. When snow falls, they have the snow piled in the entry area and behind cars so you can't leave. This place is great. Wonderful staff, homes and location. I did not even look anywhere else!
We love this place! The leasing staff was so easy to work with! They answered all our questions and explained everything so well! We are new to apartment living, but they made the transition for us seamless. The few maintenance requests were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. The grounds are awesome and are kept neat and tidy. We love how dog friendly it is - our senior dog has had a very easy adjustment. We also love being closer to work!
We moved in a couple of months ago and it was the best decision to choose Asheville Exchange as our next home. We absolutely love living here, the apartment is perfect and has everything we was looking for and more. The complex is so friendly, everyone says hello when you walk by, we love the atmosphere around the pool, the gym that is 24 hours which is perfect for me and my work schedule, the bark park which is popping with cute dogs. The staff was also fantastic, friendly, extremely helpful and got the process moving fast!
