We decided to ask Emily to design our front and back garden after the reviews on google on her past work and noting her long track record of experience in designing many different and sizes of gardens in varied environments. We have not been disappointed. Our home is in a new build development with a semi rural aspect. Both gardens are a blank canvass with just grass and a small patio at the back. We have a courtyard garden in Lewes that needed a complete overhaul. Emily at Arcadia Garden Design created a wonderful plan for us. She worked tirelessly with all the changes that we needed during the planning and was on hand during the garden build to make sure everything was perfect. The garden is more than I hoped for and we have Emily to thank for that. I would highly recommend her.
Emily designed all the outside areas for our new build. She worked really well with the architect and builders and seemed to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of materials and how to use them with the clay soil in our area (apparently this swells and contracts a lot over the seasons so could be an issue for retaining walls in our garden). Emily has a wonderfully creative, detailed, thoughtful and comprehensive approach to designing a garden. She took into account a very disparate selection of requests from us all (from somewhere to play football to a habitat for amphibians) and worked them together in a seemingly effortless way. We will have a garden so much better than anything we could have dreamt up ourselves, we are all absolutely delighted with the plans. Thank you Emily!
