Imaging department is gravely understaffed. My son was scheduled for an MRI and CT. MRI took hours to even get back there then additional hours to get his prepped. Another 1.5hr getting imaging and by that time my poor son was humdrum and restless. We had been at the hospital since 1130a and didn’t not leave until 9p. After several apologies we were rescheduled to finish the MRI only to get there and have to wait another 2 hours because they were behind! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL UNORGANIZED UNDERSTAFFED ALL IF THE ABOVE!!!
We absolutely love Dr. Superina and his team!! They removed my daughter’s liver tumor and saved her life!! Amazing people!!!
My son started bleeding badly when he moved his bowels, took him to Lurie’s since they were supposed to be the best, he had a terrible bloody stool while he was there & they sent him home with Tylenol!! Months later he had another episode so I took him to another hospital & they immediately performed a colonoscopy & confirmed he had Ulcerative Colitis! What the “specialists” at Lurie couldn’t do! It was so obvious, I hate myself for having wasted our time at Lurie’s!
My daughter will be having a heart transplant here, it's one of the best!
My daughter broke her elbow in March and needed surgery right away. No one in our area had the experience working with children so we were sent to Lurie’s and they did not disappoint. Dr. King took excellent care of my daughter and put us at ease after such a scary event. We go back this Monday to get her pins removed and I know she is in the best place possible for her care.
