When my son was diagnosed with osteosarcoma our doctor recommended Lurie's for his treatment. After some research I cannot think of a better place than Lurie's to have my son treated. The doctors, nurses, social workers and everyone down to the cleaning crew are awesome. They make each visit and stay comfortable and attend to all the needs a child or parent may need at anytime. The nurses are quick to respond to any request and if they cannot fulfill the request they will find the person that can and will. Love this hospital... read more

I am a healthcare worker and have worked at many different hospitals. I was absolutely terrified to have my 8m old go under anesthesia to get a MRI yesterday. Lurie's is the most beautiful clean facility I've ever been in. Everything was very organized, and the staff was wonderful with us. They even got us in and out earlier then our appointment time. I would give them more then 5 stars if it was possible.

So grateful for everything this hospital has provided for us, from before birth (hydronephrosis detected in utero) to post surgery (3 yrs later). Staff is friendly, professional and always made us feel at ease even when we weren't. Thank you, thank you for everything!

My son has been a patient since birth. He's seen by a few specialists there but the one he's seen by regularly is his endocrinologist Dr Brickman. Today (9-1-16) we had a 9 o'clock appt. My parking ticket said 8:58...got up stairs around 9:12. Signed the clipboard but was told that I had to register at a kiosk. I was on hold for nearly 20 minutes before I got connected to someone. We have been here for 6 weeks now. I really can't say anything nice about our experience here. This hospital is extremely short staffed and the nurses will be the first to tell you that they are so short staffed that they get paid an additional $30 an hour for ever extra hour they pick up even on top of overtime! It's very unsafe to leave your child for more than an hour by themselves here, it takes roughly 15-40 minutes to answer your call light.... How sad is that?!
