The staff at the hospital are amazing. The nurses become you biggest support system, they are your childs biggest advocate, not just with health needs but with emotional needs as well. It is an amazing hospital as far as care goes. My only few complaints are the cost. If you are staying with your child there ,as most parents do, and you are from far away and can't just pop back home you will go broke just from trying to eat there. Our son was airlifted to Lurie's from our local hospital. We can't rave enough about the staff and accommodations we received while in the ER, PICU, and the 17th floor. The Dr.'s and nurses were in constant communication and concerned about our needs (pillows, toothbrush, etc). The specialists were very generous with their time answering and understanding all of our questions. We are very pleased that Lurie's is our new home away from home.

This is my third time at this hospital! The nurses and doctors are amazing! No surprise to me why this hospital is one of the best in the US! Everyone is great the Nurses the doctors the security the lunch room and cleaning staff. Just an all around great place!! Special Thanks to all the neurology department doctors and staff for helping my daughter. I would recommend this hospital to any parents in need .
