First puppy appointment and the staff was amazing! Gave me as much time needed to have my questions answered! Friendly and helpful on the phone....even sent me a picture of my puppy in the office getting lived on when I waited in my car! So glad we chose this Animal Hospital!
The caregivers at AHSH are incredible. I have been taking my dogs to AHSH since it opened. Dr. Cecelia Edwards is kind, compassionate, intelligent, and professional. She has never been wrong with how to proceed with a medical diagnosis for any of my dogs--and they are all seniors with special needs. Terri Kish is dedicated to helping animals and has taken so much time to make sure that my dogs are always comfortable (which is tough because they are all extremely scared whenever they leave home). I am beyond disappointed that Dr Edwards has been laid off. During these uncertain times it was so comforting to know that she was there for our two girls. We have been through a lot together and she has always been a comfort to us. We have laughed and cried together. I am glad to call her a friend and an advocate for our many dogs. 😢
I was looking through old pictures today and I saw this sweet picture of my dog, Chico and I thought about my favorite vet Dr. Edwards! Even though, Chico has been gone for a couple of years now, I still have the very best memories of how Dr Edwards helped me and my sweet dog! She was patient ,fair and honest and Chico just loved her! At the end of his life he was diabetic and blind and he had trust problems. I received a call after my recent house fire from Dr. E checking on me and my pets. She has been a source of strength for me for many years. The care and dedication given to my pets and to me is something I can never repay. She’s seen me ugly cry and pulled me through it. We also share laughs and that helps too. My pets feel very comfortable with Dr. E. Thank you for having the best staff and for sending me the card.
I am not sure when I cried more. When I lost Sweet Pea or when I received the absolutely touching card from the staff at Animal Hospital of Shawnee Hills. You all have been amazing from Day 1. Thank you all for your care of my pets all these years.
We have an elderly dog whose anxiety is sky high when going to the vet. The ZEN room has been a godsend to us, along with Dr. Edwards, we have truly found our furever vet!
