My wife and I woke up early Sunday morning to the sound of Tim, our grey tabby cat, meowing in distress. We packed him up in the car and drove from Red Wing, MN. We called SMAEC in advance to ready Tim's arrival. Long story short....Tim had urinary blockage and was in considerable pain from not being able to empty his bladder. The staff at SMAEC were very professional and went the extra mile to put us at ease. Kathy and I thank you very much! Tim is now recovering at home and getting back to normal. My little puppy was hit by a car. The Doctor was able to tell me that my girl had not been run over but had a little scrap. [Like rug rash] That was such wonderful news. The Doctor and nurse were very kind. Thank you! Carol Cox Engelstad
Kristin, the vet tech that helped me out today was incredible. She listened to all of my concerns, and when I didn’t feel quite comfortable with the information the vet gave me, she assured me and got a second opinion from the other vet working. She made sure my dog was taken care of and feeling better before we walked out of the door. Kristin is amazing!!!!

I have been here twice with my 10 month old puppies. I was happy with my first experience so when my other puppy cut his foot in the middle of the night I immediately called them and asked if they could take a look at my puppy. When we got there they took him back there to take a look at him. We were the only ones there and they took FOREVER. They were also talking about how my puppy wasn't neutered amongst them selves and how the vet "should push to allow us to neuter him" because they thought they might have to put him und... read more

We were so impressed by the care our 15 year old dog received when we brought him at the end of his life. Everyone we dealt with was so kind and caring, providing a place for our whole family to come and say goodbye, giving our dog loving and compassionate care, and then giving us a way to have fun with him before we had to put him to sleep.
