I visited Dr. Nelson for painful arthritis in the base of my thumb. I felt that Dr. Nelson was very condescending during my visit. He had a handout showing a tire with a new tread and a tire with a bald tread. He kept repeatedly pointing to the picture and repeating his description of how my cartilage had worn down like the bald tire. I felt that he didn't respect the fact that I understood what he was describing - he kept pointing to it for all of my questions. He also kept asking me - 'Any questions?', 'Any questions?' as ... read more
Office staff had incorrect contact information for me despite me calling to make sure they had the correct information TWICE, and even after I was in the office yesterday to update all my information in person, there are still errors. Awesome staff. Very friendly.
a minute agoNEW I tore a bicep muscle and knew who to call. Dr. Nelson has been my doctor for a variety of hand and elbow issues over the years. When i found out he moved his practice from Waterbury to New Britain, i didnt hesitate for a moment to follow him there. His expertise is worth the travel. I have never had a bad experience in dealing with him. He's always been very helpful and should have a five star rating. His character is impeccable and he's a good man.
I was referred to Dr Nelson for severe tendontis. They scheduled me right away...and Dr Nelson was wonderful! He explained in detail everything he could do to help me... and he relieved my pain! Im following his instructions so I can heal completely. His staff was also so kind...everyone there was so nice...very welcoming...
I have been with Starling Physicians since 1984 - when they were known as "Grove Hill Clinic" on 300 Kensington Ave in New Britain. Their clinic has grown and has been expanding to include most specialities that a patient needs, which has me covered for all my personal medical needs. I do not have to go anywhere else nor do I choose to. I seen Dr. Andrew Nelson, MD, for my RT ring finger for what's called: Trigger Finger. This is where your finger will get stuck when you bend it and you have to un-bend it to get it back to n... read more
