Dr. Nelson is a superior surgeon. He had performed two previous hand surgeries prior to my current ulnar nerve surgery. I was so pleased with the outcomes of those surgeries, that when I was having difficulties with my elbow, I sought out his new office, as he had moved to a new location. My recovery from my ulnar nerve procedure is going extremely well, thanks to Dr. Nelson's experience and expertise. Not only is he a phenomenal surgeon, but he is also a compassionate, caring human being with a wonderful rapport with his pa... read more

I came to his office with an unhealed wrist break that had to be re-broken. Throughout my journey with Dr. Nelson, I found him to be honest about my situation & hopeful about it. He always clearly articulated the situation in laymen’s terms do that I could fully understand the process, and the possible outcomes. He listened to me, to my concerns and questions, and gave clear and optimistic answers. I felt very comfortable with him.

My experience with Dr. Nelson has been outstanding from the first time I walked into his office. He and his staff have been compassionate and helpful every step of the way. It has been 6 weeks since I had to return home from Texas with a broken wrist that needed surgery. I walked into my appointment feeling anxious and walked out confident that everything would be fine. Dr. Nelson has been there every step of my recovery. I am very thankful for his outstanding medical knowledge and experience. I have made made a speedy recov... read more

I broke my hand the weekend of the 4th of July. I contacted Dr. Nelson’s office and they got me in right away. The following week i was in surgery. He did an amazing job repairing my break and constantly kept in contact to see how i was. The break healed fabulously with the expert care I was given. So professional and an amazing doctor. I hope to never have a hand fracture again but if I did I would only trust Dr. Nelson!!!!

As a retired xray tech. who never broke any bones until a recent fall 07/22 I couldn't be happier in finding Doc. Andrew Nelson (hand surgeon) who was recommended by my orthopedic Doctor Belniac. (thank you) Doc. Andrew Nelson was confident from the get go after taking additional xrays on how he would do the repair to correct my issues. This included inserting a titanium screw in my 4th metacarpal & keep my knuckle attached. We left the office feeling confident for surgery in a nervous kind of way. Cheshire Surgical Center, ... read more

I just had my 1 year surgical follow-up with Andrew Nelson, MD. He operated on my right hand in Dec. of 2021 to repair my broken pinky and ring finger, which I had broken at the knuckles. This was the first time I had met him. He was very kind and sympathetic as he explained, to my satisfaction, the details of my surgery and recovery prognosis. He is genuine and earned my trust immediately with his knowledge and caring. He answered all of my questions, treating me as a partner in my own healthcare! His staff is as wonderful ... read more
