I saw Dr. Nelson for pain after an injury to my fingers. He diagnosed and explained the problem clearly using a picture that he marked showing the injury. He took time to review my X-rays, answer my questions and to give me advice with the healing process.
Dr. Nelson is straightforward and compassionate. He explains both the problem and his recommended solution very well. He’s simply excellent and I highly endorse him. (The icing on the cake is that my scars have quickly faded. You cannot tell I’ve had surgery).
Dr. Nelson is a superior surgeon. He had performed two previous hand surgeries prior to my current ulnar nerve surgery. I was so pleased with the outcomes of those surgeries, that when I was having difficulties with my elbow, I sought out his new office, as he had moved to a new location. Explained my condition and reviewed the xrays with me in a very thorough manner. Answered all of my questions clearly, patiently, and made sure I understood my path to recovery.

I came to his office with an unhealed wrist break that had to be re-broken. Throughout my journey with Dr. Nelson, I found him to be honest about my situation & hopeful about it. He always clearly articulated the situation in laymen’s terms do that I could fully understand the process, and the possible outcomes. He listened to me, to my concerns and questions, and gave clear and optimistic answers. I felt very comfortable with him.
My experience with Dr. Nelson has been outstanding from the first time I walked into his office. He and his staff have been compassionate and helpful every step of the way. I broke my hand the weekend of the 4th of July. I contacted Dr. Nelson’s office and they got me in right away. The following week i was in surgery. He did an amazing job repairing my break and constantly kept in contact to see how i was. The break healed fabulously with the expert care I was given. So professional and an amazing doctor. I hope to never have a hand fracture again but if I did I would only trust Dr. Nelson!!!!
