About this business

Andaz West Hollywood sits close to Sunset Plaza, the House of Blues and other noted places on the Sunset Strip. The 1930s art deco style and the geometric lines used throughout its fashionable décor make the place very unique. The highly visible advertising space on its 14-floor sides have become a local landmark of sorts. Multi-million dollar renovations completely revamped public areas including the Tramonpo restaurant, lobby, rooftop pool and meeting areas.

Small Portions and Bad service – I went to this place and though the food tasted pretty good the portions were small for the price and served only luke warm. They got my friends order wrong who was vegetarian (and served her meat even after specifying vegetarian), and made no real apology or recompense on the bill. Nice decor real shame about the service.

Place has really nice decor and awesome ambience. The chocolate suffle and Lychee martini was fantastic. But it cost us $50 bucks just for 2 drinks and a dessert. Not sure if a martini is worth $16 each. But overall, it's a great place to try. Be sure to sit in front of the fire pit. It's beautiful.

Why the negative reviews??? – Saturday night dinner w/ my girlfriends was a blast. True, dim sum servings are really small (2 or 3 pcs @), but no doubt tasty and delicious. We ordered about 8 plates to share, plus 2 desserts & 2 drinks, & surprised the bill was only $150(pretax & tip). Highly recommended: scallops & lobster dim sum, choco souffle, bananas foster, tantric kiss (worth it @ $14!). Service was excellent & we were seated promptly. Valet was efficient, too. Plus, the ambience was really nice. Will come back!

Over-priced! – This place needs to get over the fact that it's "Justin Timberlake's place." I've been to many restaurants in L.A. but never to one that made me feel like they were doing me a favour letting me through the door. After waiting 15 minutes to be ackowledged, my husband and I were directed to the bar until our table was "ready." The cocktails had an original flair, but $14.00 for one cocktail!??? Just as I was wondering if they'd forgotten us, someone came to take us to our place among the many empty tables in the... read more

A must! – Excellent ambience. It's a great place to go on a date. The red, dim lighting is marvelous and had it not been Thursday night, we would have stayed there hours past 1AM (which is when we finally left). The food was absolutely delicious but if you're looking to EAT, there's not a lot of it. Just right for me and my companion as we're both light eaters. It's a trendy/casual place and the service is excellent.

Expect the worst – The food was horrible! I think they assumed they didn't need good food because Justin rakes in the customers. Well I can honestly say it was the worst food I'ved had. Have you ever had microwaved chinese food, because thats what it taste like. Although this place is very cute its good to just have drinks and hang out.

Not Very Good – I was looking forward to this restaurant but was very disappointed. It looks great, but the service was poor. Although I was expecting the portions to be small, they were miniscule. The scallops and crabcakes were very salty. We had to go out to eat after havind dinner here.

A must Chi – After hearing some so-so things, I was definitely surprised. The food was great. Try the lobster potstickers, the shrimp har gow, vegetable curry, tuna tar tar, and the fresh crab cakes. As far as entree's I really liked the filet and the gift wrapped sea bass. The D.J. was great, playing the best variety, the servers are beautiful and very sweet, and the decor is something out of NYC, not LA. The restaurant is situated both in and outdoors so guests can smoke and drink next to the firepit or at a table outside.... read more

I guess... whatever. – I made a reservation way in advance for a Saturday night, the hostesses are very nice and friendly. They were not as busy as I expected- we got a seat near the fire pit. Very cool atmosphere and design. We ordered quite a few things, but the only dish I enjoyed was the Pad Thai. Lobster Potstickers were terrible and BBQ pork buns were alright. The Le-Chi martini was awesome (but also $16). You must have the chocolate soufle cake- simply amazing. The waiter was rude and kept telling us JT was coming so ... read more
