Took my 7 year old special needs son in for an eye exam at the ****************************************************************************************** location . Optometrist was very rude to him from the time we walked into the exam room. He is special needs and does not know all his letters and numbers. I called to get a sample pair of contacts until I am able to purchase a box when I get paid. I was refused. I stated I have never gotten a trail pair of contacts before I always bought a box of contacts. Her reason for not letting me get a sample pair of contacts was because when I got a eye exam they gave me a pair to try on when I got my exam which that same day I order 2 boxes of contacts as well and my contacts are always in stock so I get them the same day. I put this into thier ******** page : Too expensive! Bait and Switch. You are brought into the store by the Buy 2 eyeglasses for a certain low price and get a free exam. But they dont tell you untill you are there. That deal is only for the cheapest plastic and not bifocals. So you go with the better plastic and that whole deal is null. you have to pay for the exam and 20 dollars extra for a full exam. and You end up leaving 3 to 4 hundred dollars poorer for one pair. I have had nothing but good experiences with Americas Best. My daughter and I both have exams there and have purchased multiple pairs of glasses.. We have always had good service and if we have any issues, they are always resolved.

The two pair of glasses I bought here were sub-par. They were of poor quality, fell apart within a month and scratched very easily, even though I paid more for protective coating. The come-on of two pair of glasses for $69.99 is a joke. Mine were over $300. Within two weeks, I noticed that the one side was badly bent. I took it back to them and they very reluctantly worked on it, but it really didn't make much of a difference. At no time did they offer to replace the pair. WARNING, AVOID THIS COMPANY COMPLETELY! LIKE MANY I WAS LURED INTO THIS COMPANY BY THEIR OFFER OF $69.95 FOR 2 PAIR OF GLASSES WITH A FREE EYE EXAM.KNOWING I WOULD NEED BIFOCAL LENSES AND ONE PAIR TINTED, I EXPECTED THE COST TO BE UP TO DOUBLE THE ADVERTISED PRICE. Jacksonville store in river city. does not have respect for there customer will cancel appointments with out notice in you 1 min late from because of dr has go lunch at your appointments time. corporations office manager don't make no better they say that what happen. I took time off my job they never told me that if I was not her at exactly 1:30 my appointments will be cancel. *********** ** store is not a good place to get glasses and contacts. They are very unprofessional. 1st prescription was incorrect so had to redo the whole visit. The second visit my appointment was at 12:30 and i got there at 11:30. Waited for my time with the dr and at 1:30 still hadn't been seen and the dr went to lunch. I was in that office from 11:30 to 4:30 that day doing my appointment. It was not good. Do not go to Americas Contacts and Eyeglasses. You will not save money or time by going there.
