The team I worked with at American Veterans Aid was thorough, informative and knowledgeable. We were able to get all of the necessary paperwork done and I was able to get help for my father. They were a great help and well worth it.
They did a great job keeping me informed about the process. Would not have been able to do this without them.
They were amazing throughout the process. I would not have been able to do this without their help
My Dad served 4 years during the Korean Conflict and was thrilled when I learned after his death, that my mother who had to move to assisted living could qualify for Veteran's Aid and Attendance Benefits. The process was smooth from start to finish. My initial consultation was with Barbara Wright seamlessly explained the benefit along with the steps American Veteran's Aid would take to get my mother the benefits she was entitled to. Although I was skeptical, after a bit of time my family decided to pay American Veteran's Aid... read more
Started the process for my Mom to receive a pension from my Dad's military service in the 50s... almost 3 years .... numerous denials...resubmitting the same paperwork numerous times.... I'm not kept up to date until weeks even months later...like Mom, who is 95. Is not important, just as just number in their system.......wouldn't recommend at all...no way
AVA did a great job. They walked me through the whole process and when there were mistakes made (strictly by the VA only) they helped me to make the proper adjustments. Something you didn't have to do but whoever at the VA was working on my application thought we did. When I was rewarded the benefit the VA shortchanged me by one month. I connected w... read more
Great organization to work with. Very supportive and gave me lots of help throughout the process.
The only reason for one star is because I had no choice. This company promised to help us with our A&A claim for my dad, who has vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s, as well as cancer. We needed help desperately and because we didn’t know it was illegal to charge to help a veteran with this, we paid them $1500. They promised 4-6 weeks. 7 months later, after they FAILED us at every turn, waiting till the last possible day to respond to questions from the VA, not being proactive in getting us the correct forms, we basically had ... read more
I contacted AVA in October of 2018 to help with the process of applying for Aid and Attendance for my 82-year-old father. It took about 6 weeks to get all of the proper paperwork in order and it was officially submitted in late November. On Jan 29, 2019, I received a letter the VA Regional Office requesting additional information and it also stated that because our application was "incomplete" it will no longer be considered to be expedited under the Fully Developed Claim Program. Once the additional information is returned,... read more
