Just as any other business in the US, American Tire & Auto has the right to refuse service to anyone they wish not to do business with. Be forewarned that their tires (some brands and sizes especially) receive severe markup in price because of the lack of competition in Alaska for tires. When an outside entity tries to lower this price gouging by bringing lower 48 prices up here to Alaska, and an Alaskan chooses to buy said tires, American Tire & Auto will refuse services to them. Had a flat tire called a cab from Phillips field road came here 2 hrs before they closed and asked how much it would be to have the do our tire and the told us with no one else waiting that they didn't have time to do our one tire before they closed. Needless to say the guys at the Little has station on gaffney got it done quick and with out breaking the bank I always recommend them instead of you now when over I hear some one talking about your business also your employees pull in and out of there way to fast in your custom... read more

Always love this place! Went and had tires put on in the middle of one of the snow storms we had and I was sure it would take all day. Planned to drop off my truck and be truck-less all day, when I dropped it off they said we will get right on it and they meant it! I got a call 30 min later saying it was all done! They where very friendly and helpful through the whole thing! Thank you guys!!!

I needed a single tire replaced and was told they have to charge me shipping for a tire they already had in stock. I called the Other location in Fairbanks and was told the same thing. I called corporate and she said I was mistaken and after talking with the guy at the desk she said it was a mistake and apologized. I had a friend call the Cushman location and they are still trying to charge shipping for a tire in stock. Great Service! Wife was in the ditch on Tuesday morning, and had a quote cooked up that afternoon with help from Elizabeth and Jordan, dropped car off with Jordan Wednesday at opening and it was done by mid morning. So in only about 24 hours my family was much safer which is a stellar turn around, especially given the time of year. Thanks guys!!
