You are treated well as a volunteer donor to the research blood program. I've been donating since I got disqualified from normal donation by spending too long in the UK during the Mad Cow days. When donating platelets, the normal 56 days between donations is reduced. If you have been disqualified from normal donation, volunteer to work with the research blood program. You'll be glad you did! Call 1-800-RED-CROSS and ask for the research blood program.
1:40 minute wait to give blood with appointment. Really inconsiderate. Will find other place to donate.
