Just wanted to say how great every one was with my six year old daughter and with keeping us informed. Very considerate and concerned that every one was comfortable. Thank you American family children's hospital for making the day easy and my daughter feel at ease.

We came to American Family Children's Hospital to seek the opinion and treatment for our 2 young sons with Chiari malformation 1 from neurosurgery. The kids loved the hospital and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The dr.'s and staff are top notch and we will gladly travel again for such great care.

Poor communication-- left feeling like My wife and I were stupid for being there even though we were sent from Urgent Care and then UW ER and ultimately admitted based upon ER Attending's guidance. Was told about the care that our son would receive overnight that was never completed. Had three different "providers"- one an Attending, one a Resident and one a Respiratory Therapist that each came into our room with a separate mentality about the level of severity and care our son required-- each portraying that they never once... read more

I can't express enough how much I love and trust this hospital, and the nurses and doctors who work here. We have been coming here since my son was 1 day old. My son and I relocated to Madison 12 yrs ago so he could continue getting the best medical care. We see a lot of Peds specialty doctors on floor 2 Endocrine, ENT, Cardiology, Plastics, Genetics across the street, and the entire Craniofacial team. My son is 17 yrs old and doing great! My daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor 2 years ago. (She's 3 now) children's hospital has been fantastic with explaining what's going on, caring for her before, during, and after all 11 surgeries she's had. Currently we undergo chemotherapy via day treatment and the nurses there are so sweet, and caring. She loves every single one of them. The doctors are clear about rhe game plan every time we're there. Our oncologistbis absolutely amazing.
