Never Purchase a Car from American Car Center! I know we are supposed to read ALL documents, however the sales representative is supposed to disclose that the vehicle is a LEASE, but they DID NOT! I was told that I had to pay $750 down on the vehicle and approximately 2 weeks later I was told that I needed to pay another $500 down. Purchased a car here 8 months ago (at an insane rate), took all day to complete the process and we were sold a car that had not been cleaned/detailed. Fast forward to a month ago we were in an accident that totaled the car and we were both injured. So we go back in after being customers in good standing to get another vehicle so we can get to work and to doctor appointments and we are told that we have to start over completely and that the down payment may be up to 5 times as much as it was before due to the pandemic. This place is full of it. They pulled my car note out twice within 5 days. I called and they told me they don't see that they pulled it out. I told Cynthia C*** that I have proof via my bank account which she then stated it's not my problem you don't have enough money in your bank account. Again, I explained to her that the company took it out twice hence why my account is now negative $300. I don't know why you are still allowing these people to operate this business. They obviously prey on people of low income and feed them a bunch of lies. They are very smart, but also very sneaky. I will NEVER EVER buy anything else from them. They make you believe you are leasing your vehicle for a year and then it will turn into a regular sale. After you have paid off the car, they tell you that you can buy it back for another 2000.00 or 3000.00 dollars. Who wants to put all that money into a vehicle and then lose it for 2... read more

This business needs to be shut down!!!! I was out of work due to COVID-19 and had tried to reach out to my rep Yolanda and kept getting ignored. Then all of a sudden I have a "new rep" explains my situation and he just told me to keep him updated. Which I was and all of a sudden they disable my vehicle and was completely nasty over the phone. I've sending emails, calling since the 15th and to this day no one has call me back. I'm so sick of this company and wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

I had a flat tire and had *** come out and put on the spare tire when I looked at the tire they replaced it was completely bald and I could see the silver thread on the tire so I called American Car Center to question them about the wear of the tires because I was told that they were new they informed my that they never put on a new set of tires. If you are looking for a vehicle do not shop with them. I have had a vehicle from them for Under 2 years and have had more problems with it than should be. The customer service at the dealership in Tillman's Corner in Mobile,Al is excellent however they are only baiting you in for the ** that comes with the company in which I feel like targets people by saying low down payments which is false and all the other things that would swindle someone who is not in the best financial state. If 0 stars was possible I would leave that. This company puts you in a Lease agreement. all while you are thinking you have a auto loan. The payments are for 3 years at which time you are then given a "residual" payment. I have no clue what that payment amount is because no one can seem to tell me. Anytime you call to get a pay off amount your told they will email it to you within 48 hours.. You never receive it.
