Couldn't be happier with my life insurance policy!It seems like most of the complaints come down to the insurance agent that set the policy up.
I was contacted from a ********************* to give quotes- After taking all my information and requiring his wife to join the call to assist him - They begin to take my information to run it thru several different policy's at which time i expressed that i was not comfortable with my personal information being spread thru several different places for a policy . I had a agent from American Amicable call me about insurance for my husband and myself if we were do die that would pay off our mortgage. He transferred me over to another agent that asked us lots of questions and went through the process of getting everything set up but told us he was going to archive this until we called back to activate it or tell him we didn't want to go through with it. I'm brand new working as an agent - I've always heard great things about American Amicable. From their underwriting team to their customer service, they've so far exceeded my expectations. Very courteous and professional, they see to it that my questions are answered and my clients are taken care of. AMAM has those old-school ethics of giving white-glove service to their customers, something you don't see too often these days with other companies! It really seems like a scam of manipulations to defrauding people. I was wrong for signing up and I will retract and terminate this agreement at once, stop payment with bank or change my account to a newer account. Everyone has been reporting same pattern of America Amicable Whole Life Insurance and pulls the cancelation process behind the opening stuck in status as long as it can for payment. I started doing business with American Amicable in mid-2018. I looked 6 months for something that would take care of my family and the salesman and customer service have only done what my agent promised. I had a payment issue and like that they had a solution. Last week a friend of mine was buried with the coverage I have and they were able to get everything she had wished. Normally people share their bad situations because that is what we see on the news but forget to big credit where it is due. Here to stay! Thanks AA.
This insurance company is conducting behaviors with peoples personal information that is very unbecoming and deceptive. An agent in Illinois visited me and several other employees within the building back in November of 2019. Each of us signed up with this company for policies. The agent informed us that we would receive copies of the original application and policy in the mail within 30 days. The policies, nor the copies of the original applications never arrived to any of the employees that signed policies with this agent.... read more
This company has some very questionable practices. The client services department is very rude and defensive when you call in to speak with someone. I signed for an insurance policy on November 14, 2019 with Agent M**** in Chicago. I signed up for payroll deduction. A few other employees signed contracts as well. Mr. M**** the agent, informed me that I would receive a copy of the application and a copy of the policy in a few weeks in the mail. 0 stars! Horrible company! This company has already lost millions due to fraud. Do your research before working with this company! The agent lied saying she represented my mortgage company and offered a disability insurance, but gave me a term life policy when I already have one (she seen it and put it in the application) worth three times more than theirs. And it’s a third of their cost. The agent lied when she came to my house and she lied in her dispute letter after I wrote a complaint letter.
