I refinanced with Amerihome. It was a very simple process. Initially I thought my closing costs would be as much as my regular mortgage payment, however at closing I only had to pay $14.16. On top of that I will not have a mortgage payment for two months. They figured out the best way to help me and my family and save us a lot of money. Reduced out rate by over 1% and reduced our monthly payment by about $150. It all adds up. Awesome experience.

Awful customer service. There's "a policy" for every reason they cannot provide quality, logical service. They are overcharging me on my escrow amount by almost $250 / month (!) but their policy is that they only review escrow charges in April each year, so they will overcharge me for 8 months and then review it. Their customer service team is unhelpful and at times rude, and they don't respond to written correspondence at all despite their published policy of responding within five days. I'm currently struggling with an almost two months process of them misplacing my first months payment. Funds have been removed out of my account 11/25/2019 but have not been received according to Amerihome. I have made over a dozen phone calls to Amerihome and have been told each time they are working very hard to locate the payment. I sent in proof of payment and a copy of the returned check twice. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! They will leave you high and dry. I tried to refinance my mortgage through them and I was told to finalize the paper work, have an appraisal, and then I will be closed on December 15. After I completed everything they fired the loan officer who was handling my account. My mortgage for the 1st time in 7years and reported me to the credit bureau. If I could give 0 stars I would have! Worst company in the history of mortgages. Every other month I am getting escrowed more money because they can not do the math. They also forget to pay my taxes and make me go delinquent. Always on hold for hours - multiple times a week. Literally the WORST and knowledgeable people ever. Every time I speak to someone they tell me something different. My mortgage loan was bought out by AmeriHome Loans just recently. Amerihome loans messed up my payment due date, our disclosure agreements and all other associated documents of my loan. I called the customer service line to discuss correcting and updating the errors. The automated system is OUTDATED by 20 years. It took 10 minutes to get to a representative. Refinanced with Amerihome. Mimi Le and Scarlett Thomas were extremely helpful in the process. Always available to take my calls and answered every last one of my questions. Would definitely recommend.

Very bad customer service, putting customer on hold for one hour when we need to speak to supervisor. When asking to talk to escrow department supervisor, they re-route the call to another representative and then to another representative and so and so. Just playing games. after being on the phone for an hour and half I finally gave up and hung up the phone. Holding my escrow check for over a month after my loan was paid in full. They lie and saying we mailed the check, but we never received it.

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. If you call you can't get a live person, and if you do it's the wrong department or they give you a response that has nothing to do with your original question. If you use the email function on their 1980s archaic website you get a very limited response where they once again won't answer your question and god forbid you ask more than one, it will be completely ignored.
