Worst customer serv and product I've ever had. Lost all cable connection Jan 21 09 as did all neighbors. Repeated requests to have service restored has resulted in lies and finally admittance from your comp that you would no longer be servicing our area. now we are being billed for service we never had. We are contacting the Utilities commissioner and better business bureau. A refund for the time we paid for in January & didn't receive as well as bogus billings taken care of will stop action. We have been very unhappy about our cable service. Lost 10 chanels and were told that the problem would be fixed in a day or two. Well it has not. When you call you and hardly understand the person on the other end of the phone. It seams as tho this company does not care if they stay in business or not. They sure have not tryed to keep any one happy.
Well I finally got my cable bill today and as I figured, there was not a credit for the 11 days that te cable was off. Imagine that!!!! I am refusing to pay this bill and I will see this stupid so called cable company on court, if they have guts.
The reason the Systems of Almega are losing channels,is because the owner Thomas is not paying the programmers for the Service.And if you have an outage,he hasn't paid the Electric Co. for the power Bill. all he is after is Government Grants.He doesn't care about his Customers.
The towns of Hardtner, Ks. and Kiowa Ks. have been without cable tv for a month now ,and before that the picture was horrible. Why is there no phone number on the bill ,which still keeps coming, only advising people to call their area office. Now where might that be? This is where my ninty three year old mother lives and she missess her service. We will probably wind up with Dish.
Well, after 11 days of being off, the cable finally came back on around 8:00pm. We have lost 10 channels and some are very fuzzy. I'm glad it's on but can't wait for Dish to be installed. No one should ever have to go through what our small town did. Every time you called them or chatted live with them, IT WAS ALL LIES. I never got the same story twice. Good luck to anyone that has Almega Cable, you will need it.
Wink, TX has been out of cable since 01-27-09. All you get when contacting them is lies. Contacted them phone(everyday), e-mail(no response) and live chat(what a joke). We have lost channels since Almega took over in November2008. The recent story we were told is the power company cut off the power to the "HE", whatever that is. They don't take any responsabilty for their actions. This company should be shut down and never be able to have another buisness again. Doesn't the FCC regulate the cable industry? I'm going to find out and if so I will register a complaint. At the very least I will contact the Better Business Bureau. I too have lost 6 channels since Almega took over and get billed for the original 44. Their customer service rep. from India has such a heavy accent you can't understand her.
