This company appears to be a scam. First hand experience with them and knowledge of their practices as a business are when the channels start going off the air it won't be long before all the channels are off the air and they continue to bill customers that don't know what is happening. End result is that the areas that had cable services and eventually don't the systems have been abandoned and most or all of the gear removed from the headends. Everything that has been written for others is the same for me in Central Texas. Since they took over from Rapid in December 2008. I haven't had any service since February 26, 2010 and at that point was only receiving 4 of the 48 channels I had been paying for since they took over the service. Lies, lies, lies and more lies. I think they are taking money, laundering it and sending it to what every terrorist group they are a part of. I have been dealing with Almega Cable for months on the service. I have called them month after month because youhave no sound on the channel and you don't even have half the channels you are paying for. I have requested credits and this so called superviser Charles said more or less to bad but, he did agree that he would not like it himself.So, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I was told by the BBB they couldn't even get Almega to respond. Center Point is now missing 25 of the promised 43 channels - I have stopped paying my bill - I told them when they fix it and honor their contract then I will pay. I've had several phone calls from Almega and pleas to pay "some" of the bill. If they disconnect me, I'll just go to DISH. The state of Texas allows for more than one cable provider in an area, so I am petitioning the cable company fro Kerrville to open up Center Point.
Worse case of a cable company ever. Actually I would give them a minus 100, if that were possible. We have been without 6 of our stations for over 2 months. We get stations that we aren't told about. Maybe we should all quit paying our Almega Cable bills.
This company doesn't deserve any stars. This company is HORRIBLE!!!!! When Almega Cable bought out Rapid Cable we had 38 channels. Now we have 15, and most of them are so poor in picture quality they are unwatchable. Now the price for this terrible cable service has not gon down with the reduction of channels. We are still expected to pay the same price we did when we had 38 channels. The shameful family-run business of Almega Cable will steal your money and lie to you. They do not provide the channels they promise and they lie about Technicians coming to fix it.
rating is minus 5 stars. no service, incorrect bills, no credit ever issued for weeks of no service, call the office in Bedford and they transfer you immediately to their ":""customer service"""" lol"""personnel overseas who only read a lying script and do it badly.
