Not the most affordable considering its location, but understandably so. Had to use it anyways since we were running out of fuel from what i thought was a sufficient top-up at Fox Glacier to last us till Wanaka - underestimated the long trip and had to refuel here at a slight premium versus what it would have been in Wanaka or thereabouts.
I was out of fuel and put my card in to fill up to full. It started to pump but stopped. My card was charged $250. So I thought maybe it wasn’t charged and enter my card again for a smaller amount $50. My card was then Charged $250 again and no fuel. So I was charged $500 and no fuel came out. Rang the guy who reversed the charges but my international banks will still put a hold of $500 and may take up to a week to put the money back. Not sure what the other reviews were talking about as this location accepted my Canadian Visa credit card. Works like any other prepay fuel station i've encountered on the south island. Was expensive and they were also out of diesel at the time so may not be the most reliable.

You can actually use eftpos at this gas station with prepay. Price comparable with Wanaka has stations.
