They gave me a staff infection that almost killed me and laid me up for 5 months off work 45 days in the hospital, 5 extra surgeries, permanent lung damage and muscle flap reconstruction and of course denied it all blamed it on getting it at home. They collected over $500,000.00 over and above what it should have cost for the initial procedure for their MISTAKE and still came after me for $80 co pay on a denial of some small service while in the hospital. I have been seeing Dr John Dalfino for the past 5 years. He is the best doctor ever. I have had several surgeries at AMC and the neuro wing is awesome. I think having the very best doctor along with a caring staff has helped my recovery. I can not say enough great things and highly recommend AMC and especially my favorite doctor in the world. Thanks for all you have done.
Right now my sister's are getting ready to pull my mother out of this he'll hole because she has been in the renal ward four four days and has only seen one doctor. She was brought in because she was not able to keep any food down. They have done nothing to address this problem and their only response has been to drug her with heavier pain meds to the point that she doesn't know her name or where is. They have been treating her like she has died already and I wouldn't recommend anyone go here for any serious medical emergenc... read more
My son has been very sick since he was about 10 days old, and AMC Children's Hospital has been a saving grace. Battling seizures, pneumonia, the flu, and respiratory illnesses for the first 4 months of his life has been difficult, but the AMC pediatric staff have made things a little less painful. The compassion not only for my son, but for us as a family, is amazing. The tears they've dried, the smiles they've given, and the comfort they've provide have been extraordinary.
Didn't known this was here. I lost my dad a couple years ago. But while he was at albany med he was in the VICU for about 2 months. Couldn't ask for a more caring group of people. They were great!
You need a new care coordinator who has better manners rather than just a clock watcher!
