I had DBS surgery here one year ago for Parkinson's disease, the outcome was truly amazing. Dr Politsis and the movement disorder Team are the finest there are anywhere. I thank God for them everyday!!!! Judy Campbell

I have spent 9 days at Albany Med with my grandson in the PICU. The physicians, the nurses, the social worker, John, the respiratory therapists, the PCAs...everyone is professional, caring, informative, and vigilant. I could not have asked for better! Sadly, every health care facility has its good and bad and you are experiencing it at a high stress point in your life worrying about a loved one. I see some of these negative comments....but I can't say anything negative about the PICU, the support staff, and all of the doctor... read more
Great place my father is getting very good care thanks to all the nurses in CCU for all your doing to keep my dad comfortable
Nursing is spread too thin to do their jobs properly. When my paralyzed granddaughter was in the PICU her lack of care was disgusting. It was a good thing I stayed until she was discharged so she had her needs taken care of by ME! They should be more concerned about patients than building more additions. It used to be a lot better. Now I won't ever go there or let my family members be admitted there if I have any say in the matter!
I had open heart surgery when I was only 14 years old and I loved the atmosphere, the way the nurses and surgeons treated me and made me feel at home. At such a young age and this being unexpected they made me feel at peace with the whole situation. Not to mention my surgeon (Dr. Devejian) was amazing!! 100% recommend this hospital out of every other one in the capital district! Thank you Albany medical center nurses and surgeons!!! Thank you for saving my life!
My son was born there he were 10 week early he is do great boy he is 13 year old.
