The waiting time is ridiculous in the ER. Patients not seen in order and if they say the more serious patients are seen first that's a lie!!!!! The staff isn't polite. The security here are all a bunch of sour face, no personality humans. A very hateful place . I hope never to have to be here again if my daughter had not had a serious car accident I would have taken her to NY Presbyterian in NYC!!! Hate hate hate this awful hospital !!!!!!!!!! I have a complicated neurological disorder called PTC and going to Albany Med is my 3rd Neurosurgeon's department in 9 years. Compared to my past experiences elsewhere, and my local hospital that doesn't even have neurology- I couldn't be more satisfied with the level of care in the hospital during my stay, the physicians who care for me out-patient... Nurses, Doctors- everyone is kind, considerate, and always makes sure my questions are answered, and my concerns addressed.
I had open heart surgery when I was a kid and we didn't have very goods back then, then as an adult I had an anurism burst in my head, both times they saved my life, I am always greatful and am still going with good health
I came to the emergency department on Tuesday evening with the worst abdominal pains in my life. I was greeted with valet parking and was through triage within 20 minutes. It was extremely busy, but I had a pain treatment, ultrasound, and a place to rest all within another 30 minutes or so. I was moved a few more times to temporary rooms over the next 48 hours and eventually received my permanent room. I had an excellent experience in the ED after my bike collided with a car. Even though the ED was busy (three other traumas came in just before me), I was treated compassionately, thoroughly and attentively at a time when I was in significant pain. The care I received from nurses, doctors, techs, everyone -- Both in the ED and on the floor over four days of care -- was superlative. I was grateful to have Albany Med close to home when I needed it. Thanks!!
My mom has a high fever and we are in emergency from last 2 hours no one is coming to see her, r u serious this is what you call emergency
