Today I had an appointment at NYOH at the hospital. To say the least I was scared. As I walked through the doors I was greeted by security with questions. Then moved to the temperature nurses. They were both very professional while easing your fears. NYOH moved patients through with no problems and again making patients feel like they were the only one they had. Albany Med The absolute worst hospital I’ve ever been to, I was throwing up for day’s before I decided to get checked out. Been here for 6 hours and have yet to hear ANYTHING. They drew blood but didn’t use it, kept it just in case, my bed is in a HALLWAY when they have a patient room reserved for the STAFF to eat and socialize. I’ve watched the same 3-4 nurses run back and forth making sure patients were good mind you there’s at least 15 of them here. they let my aunt die buy her self they would not let any of my family stay with her this is on called for if that was there family member . I work at a hospital and we let family stay it is just 2 at a time
My grandfather is currently there but they are not allowing my grandmother to stay with him. They left him alone with no visitors allowed for 2 hours and didn’t check on him at all. If it weren’t for my aunt he would have bled out because his vain blew out and we wouldn’t have known if my aunt didn’t force a nurse to go check on him. He also has surgery on his foot and they didn’t cover up the wound right away like they should have.
