Don't buy from Alba. Level of workmanship amateur at best and non-existent customer service. New timber front door: astragals not cut to profile, holes not filled, door not fitted properly - fiercely sticking at parts of door frame - astragals now starting to come off. And we've only had the door less than a month. UPDATE SOME WEEKS LATER: Alba eventually took the door away for repair. 2 of the new astragals are loose. They did my elderly friends conservatory roof three years ago and it has slipped and has left the room open to the elements. Apparently their workmanship isn’t covered by any guarantee. I know that they went this company to support a local Scottish business but in this case it has left them high and dry. Disgusting service. I had a lot of aluminium windows and doors that needed attention, and it wasn’t easy finding a company willing to take it on—all just weren’t interested. Alba Glass and Glazing stepped up and did an outstanding job. The wind’s howling today, and not a single draught is coming through—such a difference!
