waste of time.. – Service was average at best. But my last appt will be my LAST appt! After waiting 20 mins for my stylist, and then learning that she forgot the appt. she scheduled with me 6 weeks ago. She offered to get to the salon in another 20 mins if i would wait. Sit around in the salon in the middle of the day to wait for a flaky stylist with average service? I left and took my business elsewhere. a place to pamper yourself, and everyone you love – I've received an Akasu facial from Keely. For a person like me who can hardly ever relaxed - her facial and her touch were able to put me in a very relaxing stage. Yonka facial + her attention to detail were major pluses. She answered all my questions I had about my skin - and - recommended appropriate products to match my skin type and my lifestyle. I've had many spa services elsewhere, Akasu is like no other. Highly recommended!
Keep me coming back for more! – I have been here many times for a variety of services and it is always a huge pleasure. Akasu is staffed by the most wonderful and genuine people. All are highly skilled and take great care in caring for clients. This salon/spa prides itself on consistent attention to detail and has introduced me to some wonderful product lines like YonKa (Paris) skincare and Loma haircare. Nicole's relaxing spa facials are hard to beat in any city.
Best of everything – I treated myself to a day of luxury at Akasu for my birthday & it was the best experience I've had. I was treated like a queen from the moment I walked in the door until I left 7 hours later! I had a fabulous body treatment & facial from Keely, a mani/pedi combo, and then Niko did my hair. She is wonderful. She took everything I said & made it happen and the result was amazing! For just the basic touch ups or another day of luxury....I wouldn't go anywhere but Akasu.
GREAT SERVICES AT AKASU! – I have been going to Mike for hair services for quite a few months now and I love going to him. He always has a ton of ideas and has great intuition. The other day, he showed me the spa upstairs and I was instantly relaxed. Not only are the rooms neat and cute they are not noisy like the many other spas Ive been to. Loved It!!! – Wow, that place was BEAUTIFUL! I had the best day ever at Akasu. I had a spa day...massage, pedicure, facial. It was fabulous. I really enjoyed everyone. They were all interesting, knowledgable people with GREAT skill. It was warm and cozy and friendly...just what I needed to rejuvenate... I definately recommend this place. Check it out.
Great salon, great atmosphere. – Akasu is wonderful. I get my hair cut by Niko and I am always happy with the experience and the cut. I wouldn't get my hair cut by anyone else.
I recently visited AKASU Hair studio and Spa and I must say if you want to work with an artist whose finger is on the pulse of Portland's spirit, I strongly recommend you check out Niko at AKASU! I trust no ones voice to be more honest on the subjects of fashion and style and her service has been excellent. The whole Spa looks great I will definitly be returning for some body work as well.
really good people and atmosphere at akasu – i have gone to akasu for many services, both in the hair studio and spa, and i always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. unlike many spas, the environment is unpretentious and welcoming, yet still refined. mike always has a great vision for my hair that compliments my eclectic style. i have had facials and waxing done by both keely and nicole- i really adore the products they use and they are both very thorough and obviously highly skilled. i love this place!
