Had an appointment last week at Age Uk , and they were so so helpful , friendly and kind . Today as a result of that appointment I was at city hall , all went well , I think , and I find myself back at Age Uk because I wanted to check out the cafe / restaurant called - Park Street Eatery- and as far as I know it’s not just for oldies 🤣 , any age is welcome . The food is good, and the staff are very friendly, :)
Staff and volunteers are lovely and cheerful. Nice clean, spacious cafe. Great value for money and food is freshly prepared to order. Hot dinners available. Tuna sandwich, portion of chips and 2 mugs of tea was £8.25. Cant beat that in the centre of Lincoln! Lots of classes going in through out the day that look fun.
The first visit a couple of weeks ago with the veteran breakfast. Excellent food and a great centre for lots of activities and help. Lots to mention, however, the website would be a good start. I now volunteer at the centre, and it's fulfilling to help out with other people who are like minded in helping fellow senior citizens. The café is excellent, great food and very reasonable prices. I have started to take my elderly father who has mixed dementia to play carpet bowls here once a week. ( Although there are more activities available). Everyone is really friendly and welcoming and happy to explain the rules. Lovely cafe in there..where we have a drink before we start to play. We haven't eaten there as yet but the menu looks nice and good value. Always plenty of people in there eating. There is a lift big enough for dad in his wheelchair and me. Toilets are very clean.
